Our mission at Cafe de Mi Abuelo is to provide the best coffee from one of the best coffee growing regions, Dipilto, Nicaragua.
Cafe de Mi Abuelo was founded to pass on to the grandchildren for generations to come, a legacy of stewardship and sustainability for the coffee forest that was
started 50 years ago by Abuelos Don Francisco “Panchito” Centeno and Dona Sarita Gadea de Centeno. Our intention is to be certain that respect for the land,
respect for the plant life, respect for the animal life, and respect for the human life, which the coffee forest supports will always be a vital part of our
family business.
Cafe de Mi Abuelo has always been grown using techniques that are today called organic and sustainable. Sustainable coffee, as defined by the
Speciality Coffee Association of America, is sustainable growth which satisfies the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations
to satisfy their own needs. This defines the essence of what Cafe de Mi Abuelo stands for.
Cafe de Mi Abuelo coffee comes from Abuelo Don Panchito’s finca (farm) Santa Teresita in the north central region of Nicaragua near the
small mountain top village of Dipilto. Dipilto is famous for its pine groves, for the warmth of its people, their religious fervor and strong loyalty.
This small region is also renowned as one of the best coffee growing regions in the world. Our family invites you to experience what we have been privileged
to nurture - the best coffee from the best coffee growing region - Cafe de Mi Abuelo, The Coffee of My Grandfather.
